Forager Forever

I made this app after spending a long time walking around Oxshott Heath and noticing how good the wild fruit was. The blackberries, plums, strawberries, and raspberries often tasted better than the shop-bought ones.

After enough walks, I wanted a better way to remember where things were, when they were worth checking, and which spots were actually reliable. Notes and loose photos were not enough, so I started building a map for it.

Forager Forever is meant to turn repeated wandering into a record you can come back to: places you have found before, places worth checking again, and places other people have confirmed.

Start on the map and move to the area you want to explore. Refresh the visible area to load the points inside the current map bounds. You can use the search box and status filter to narrow the results.

Select a point or a location from the side list to view the plant details, photo, dates, user finds, and any reports tied to that spot. This makes it easier to judge whether a place is worth visiting.

When you find something in person, sign in and log it with a photo and your device location. You can add a brand new forage spot or confirm an existing one that is already on the map.

Over time, your profile tracks discoveries, verifications, and recent finds, so the app becomes a personal record of the places you keep returning to.
